The history of tattooing the face of Asia "Burma"

According to Chin elders, the practice of tattooing began the old woman's face, to prevent women from being taken by the kings of Burma, who had heard about the beauty of Chin women and adolescents. They will come to villages throughout the province and only choose the girls they want to take with them. With no other way to defend himself, the village elders, who are also women, began to tattoo the faces of children, thereby eliminating their beauty.

Though started as a way to make women less attractive, face tattoos gradually evolved into a symbol of feminine beauty and toughness. Women began to consider themselves beautiful, and some even told photographers Canadian men will not marry them if they do not have a facial tattoo. Certain tribal tattoos women get different, and although they may not seem very attractive to us Westerners, they are valued in society Province of Chin tribes of Burma.
